Saturday, February 6th, We're going to a Powwow at the NC School of Science and Math in Durham. This promises to be a fun, exciting and educational trip for our Scouts! Check out the Powwow website at http://www.ncssm.edu/powwow/event.html .

Typically, this powwow receives up to 2,000 visitors. It is wise to get there early. Doors/vendors open at 11am. We plan on arriving between 11-11:30, this will allow us time to find a spot in the bleachers where we can all sit together, and visit vendors before dancing begins. We will sit in the same area, and Joy Aili Roach (Aaron's mom) can easily share information, answer questions, etc. Families may want to plan on a large/late breakfast, or bring sandwiches to eat for lunch (outside or in the church bus). There will be vendors serving food but if you're not used to fry bread and Indian tacos, you may be disappointed Pack 910 will be helping with trash patrol at 5pm. This is when there is a break in dancing and everyone leaves the gym area, so it's the best time to give it a good walk through and pick-up trash in the bleachers and on the floor and then hit the road for home! Boys should wear Class A or Class B, parents should wear a Pack t-shirt or any other Cub Scout shirt they may have. We're asking you to sign up here on the website with a $5 deposit, which will count as your entry fee to the Powwow.
